The Assistant Library Director is responsible for supervising the library pages, creating, developing, and implementing programs for childrens, tweens, and teens.  Ordering and maintaining a culturally diverse and relevant collection for childrens, tweens, and teens.

The Library Director is responsible for the daily administration of the library including the budget, staffing policies, building maintenance, and services.  Mary has served the Great Cleveland Area since 2005.  Mary Considers it a great place to work, and she has a great crew of employees that make the work worthwhile.  She has lived in various places around the world as a military brat with three older siblings.  Mary joined the Air Force in 1989 and served her country in Operation Just Cause, Operation Desert Shield, and Operation Desert Storm.  During her military career she obtained early promotion as a Below the Zone Airman.  She also participated in performance competitions known as Comfy-O and Prism Olympics.  These competitions tested job skills and knowledge on a command-wide basis.  Mary twice won 3rd place in consecutive years in this competition.  After her enlistment was up, she returned home to Cleveland, and pursued one of her dreams of becoming a medical professional.  She obtained an associate degree in emergency medical technology.  She served the Houston area as a Paramedic for 17 years, and still maintains her license today.  Despite this fulfilling career, Mary’s heart was still with the library.  In 1995, Mary was asked to fill in for a full-time employee who was on prolonged medical leave, and she has been here since.  Mary continued her education with a bachelor’s degree in management and attended Texas Woman’s University to obtain her master’s degree in library science.
